snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes…

My away message last night read something along the lines of: wishing I was still a little kid and could look forward to the possibility of waking up to a snow day tomorrow… sigh. To be a kid again and have nothing more important to worry about than who had the biggest snowfort.

Woke up early this morning and went to Espresso Royale Cafe, determined to catch up with some reading that I’ve been putting off, considering that this weekend will be anything but study time. Of course I ended up spending half the time studying and half the time staring out the window, daydreaming, watching the huge snowflakes cover Madison in a blanket of whiteness…

Finally treked through the unshoveled sidewalks of State Street and half-slid up Bascom all the way over to Van Hise, cold, soaked with snow, only to reach my classroom with a note on the door saying that class had been cancelled due to the weather. Upset that I walked all the way here for nothing? Nah. If this is a big kid’s version of a snow day, I’ll take it 🙂

  4. snow is fun.. but now i regret getting mad at the sun. i have found a new and very solemn respect to the sun now.
